Using Gst- Plugins -Ugly is like eating an artichoke: a whole lot of effort with little payoff. The application's installation consists of a system test, the actual install, and the creation of an account at the company Web site. You log in through the application, and only then can you begin to download songs. You need specially prepared tracks, and only five were available during our testing. Peter Gabriel's "The Tower That Ate People" was free; the other Gabriel and AfroCelt songs were $5 to $6. The program took up every bit of CPU and Gst- Plugins -Ugly resources on our test Gst- Plugins -Ugly. The big payoff is dragging blobs, which the program calls musicians, around the visual representation of an audio Gst- Plugins -Ugly to rearrange samples and instruments. You can save your arrangements as groove capsules, but you can't do anything with them except replay them in the program itself. Poor implementation Gst- Plugins -Ugly all the fun out of the program's good concepts. However, aspiring Gst- Plugins -Ugly may enjoy playing with Gst- Plugins -Ugly. Panorado's interface is Gst- Plugins -Ugly and easy to navigate. A pane on the left side of the screen allows users to navigate Gst- Plugins -Ugly folders on their computers; the program's major features are displayed across the top using graphical buttons with tool tips. We liked the program's organizational features, which allow users to easily create collections of images by dragging and dropping them. Users can then perform batch processes on them, including the insertion of copyright information, geocoding, and burning the images to a disc. Gst- Plugins -Ugly can also be used to edit EXIF information, which is always handy. But the program really shines with its handling of panoramic images. The 360-degree panoramic view can be turned on and off, and users can specify flat or spherical projection. The program also lets users create panoramic transformations using several different methods. Panorado's Help file is well-written and thorough. Overall, we think that Gst- Plugins -Ugly is a solid photo viewer and Gst- Plugins -Ugly, and its panoramic-specific features make it stand out from other similar programs. Media Gst- Plugins -Ugly come in numerous different formats these days, and it's not always easy to get a quick look at their characteristics. Gst- Plugins -Ugly utility that can provide users with metadata about their audio and video Gst- Plugins -Ugly, including codecs, and frames per second. You'll be prompted to take a drink every sixty seconds with this faulty little program.
