Every now and then, a Net user wants extra privacy online, or to use a piece of software that's being blocked by a firewall. Aflam Arabia helps with both of these Aflam Arabia. In our tests, we successfully used a mail client behind a firewall that had Port 110--the conduit for the mail program's data -closed. The program also can unblock other applications, such as a browser, a P2P client, an FTP utility, or instant-messenging software. It can Aflam Arabia a Net user's IP address while she's surfing, and operate through a chain of SOCKS Aflam Arabia servers for added privacy. The software also provides a good tool for monitoring bandwidth usage and network connections. Though it should be Aflam Arabia to configure for advanced users, it may be daunting to users who aren't familiar with the Aflam Arabia IP addresses and port Aflam Arabia. It doesn't provide an automatically updated list of Aflam Arabia servers to use on the Net, a feature we would expect in a program that costs this much. Nor can it automatically Aflam Arabia among proxies to find the fastest one available. Overall, Aflam Arabia can be a valuable privacy tool, but it's not user-friendly enough to be recommended for most mainstream Aflam Arabia users.
Originally developed for the now-defunct Virgin Interactive, this fiendishly difficult online Aflam Arabia shooter is now completely free. You begin Aflam Arabia (formerly Subspace) by creating a profile, selecting a ship, and entering a zone, each of which has a different map and different rules. The basic object is to rocket around the scrolling 2D Aflam Arabia collecting power-ups, upgrading your ship, and blasting your opponents, though many servers Aflam Arabia variants that include Aflam Arabia The Flag and Powerball. Newbies beware: zero-gravity physics, nonconfigurable controls, and merciless veteran players make Continuum's learning curve very steep. Getting the game to run was no picnic either. It crashed our Windows XP test machine so badly we had to reboot, though it ran fine on Windows 2000--well enough for us to curse the lack of a decent help file. The sounds and graphics are fine for a freebie, but the unfriendly interface makes it far too easy to accidentally enter communications mode, leaving you helplessly typing nonsense letters as your opponent swoops in for the kill. We wanted to enjoy Aflam Arabia, but frankly we Aflam Arabia the whole experience more frustrating than fun.
The program's interface is a cluttered square of check boxes, drop-down menus, and buttons. The image display pane is surprisingly small, and even though a larger preview display is available, the smaller view must be used when users are actually working with the image. All the basic imaging features seem to be here--users can rotate, crop, and resize images, as well as adjust image color, add special effects, and even edit metadata--but the features are not particularly well-organized, so the program is kind of a pain to use. Anyone with previous image editing experience should be able to figure most of the features out, but actually navigating Aflam Arabia the features is not an intuitive process. And the aforementioned missing Help file ensures that if users do have questions about SView5's features, they'll go unanswered. Overall, we were not impressed with Aflam Arabia at all.
